Mixed Doubles

The Sioux Falls Tennis Association offers the above leagues at different NTRP skill levels for men and women who are 18 or older. 

Special permission for players 14+ may be granted but will be determined on an individual basis and must play at the highest level. 

It is the league coordinator’s discretion to determine eligibility for each level.

The Details...

• Players do not need a USTA membership to play SFTA leagues. USTA membership is required if participating in the USTA Adult Leagues or sanctioned tournaments.

• Signing up as a Team of Three has worked well for many players.  With a team of three, one can eliminate the need to reschedule matches due to conflicts, illness or injury.  NTRP level must be the same.    There is no additional cost to Teams of Three but two players must sign up online and add both partners’ names on the online registration.

• Signing up as a Substitute for the doubles or mixed doubles leagues is free of charge.  Please consider this option if you cannot play weekly. There is always a need for substitutes.  Email Lydia@605H5.com to sign up at your NTRP level and be sure to include cell & other contact info.
• 70% of your matches MUST be played for you to be considered the champ! Winners posted at year end on the website.
• Rainouts are made up on Fridays! If you have more then 1 set down when it rains the winner can be called by who has won the most games.

• Year tournament date TBD.  This tournament in which you and your partner or a new partner can play.  Beverages will be provided on Saturday and prizes will also be awarded at the end of the tournament.  The cost to enter this tournament will be $15 per person, which can be paid at the time of the tournament sign up later this summer.  Watch your email for more details on payment and registration towards the middle of the summer.

Begin:  May 28 - August 5

Format:  Weekly scheduled at NTRP level

Courts:  GreatLife at Tomar (and McKennan if needed)

Match Time:  6pm, 8pm

Days:  Monday:    Men’s Beginner 7.0 & 9.0 Doubles

            Tuesday:     Men’s 8.0 Doubles

           Wednesday:   Women’s Beginner 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 & 9.0 Doubles

Mixed Doubles- $50 per player (Each player must register and pay online and include your partner’s name)

Includes a Tshirt. Please include your size or enter NO Tshirt.

Begin:  May 28 - August 5

Format:  Weekly Scheduled Levels:  6.0, 7.0, 8.0 & 9.0

Courts:  GreatLife at Tomar and McKennan if needed

Match Time:  6pm, 8pm

Day:  Thursday

All leagues will run for 10 weeks.  The league fee for all doubles includes a Tshirt, a 1 year SFTA membership, balls, reserved court times, awards and administrative costs.  For those who do not have a partner (after every effort has been made to find one)

register online and put “no partner” in the partner’s name question.  There is no guarantee but we will attempt to help you!

Format:  Weekly Scheduled at NTRP Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 & 4.5

Courts:  To be arranged by players

Match Time:  To be arranged by players

Day:  To be arranged by players

Each Player brings a can of ball each week: One can will be used for the match. Winner takes second can home. Players must Self-Report scores to league coordinator weekly.

                                                                                                                           

Singles leagues will run for 10 weeks.  The league fee for singles includes a Tshirt, 1 year SFTA membership, awards, and administrative costs.  Singles matches are self-scheduled; however, they must be played within 2 weeks of your given week. 

The person who has not returned calls during your scheduled week to arrange play, that person forfeits.  You have 2 weeks to schedule your singles match.  The same forfeit will happen if you no show for a scheduled match.
